My name is Nina Solomatina. I have founded NS Graduate Admissions Consulting to provide ambitious Russian-speaking students with professional graduate admissions consulting and support throughout the process of applying to top business schools and universities.
Our mission is to provide the most accurate and objective information about various possibilities for graduate education, to help choosing the best program and university for entering and further to highlight the key strengths and personality of an applicant on key admissions documents.
We recruit students only for Master’s and MBA programs and we are known as a leading agency in this niche.
Since establishing the company in March 2013 we’ve served hundreds of clients who have matriculated in Master’s programs at the top European and U.S. Universities: Manchester Business School (University of Manchester), Cass Business School (City University), University of St Andrews, University of Aberdeen, Bristol University, University of Exeter, HEC Paris, EDHEC Business School, EMLYON, University of Lausanne, University of St Gallen, Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University), Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Kuehne Logistics University, Trinity College Dublin, and many others.
Here are the results of where our clients have been accepted for 2016-2017 academic year (indicated only for Europe):
We work with Russian-speaking clients all over the world and all our clients leave us amazing testimonials. We aim to be the best graduate consulting agency in Russia and we keep ourselves to very high standards.
We are also an officially accredited agency by ICEF (leading certification agency for consultants in International Education; based in Germany), and we regularly take part in ICEF Workshops all over the world.
My professional expertise
I worked in education abroad consulting for eight years (2002-2010) at one of the leading agencies in Russia (you can check here my certificate upon completion the British Council training on the education in the UK).
I oversaw the department of academic programs and cooperated with a number of universities and schools in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, the USA, Canada and Australia.
There, I helped tens of students get accepted to their dream universities, which allowed me to see what was important in the admissions process, to understand how to choose the best suitable school and program for someone, and how to convey an applicant’s personal story and motivation in the documents.
At the same time, as part of my job I flew all over Europe, US and Canada to personally visit the universities and talk to the admissions committees. I also attended educational workshops on a regular basis (ICEF Workshops in the UK, USA, Germany and Russia; ALPHE Conference in the UK; English UK Conference and many others). This all gave me a profound understanding of the different educational systems, as well as an overview of the universities and ranking systems, the differences between business schools and universities, insights into the specifics of various programs and much more… it ultimately gave me the motivation to pursue my own Master’s!
My own story
Why am I so keen to help someone get their Master’s? Because I’ve been on this journey too, and it totally changed my life.
I’m a CEMS Master in International Management graduate. This program widened my horizons considerably, I learned a whole new language from scratch during my Master’s, met incredible people, and of course, those two years of study were a totally fantastic experience for me.
After graduation, I worked in the European headquarters of my dream company, living abroad and travelling all over to visit my friends. I now believe that absolutely everything is possible.
But before that, I had to navigate the admissions maze myself! What looked so logical and easy when I worked with other students turned out to be rather confusing and overwhelming when I was doing it.
I was pretty uncertain about how to present myself, which of my strengths should be emphasized on paper, and how I should talk about my future career goals when I wasn’t not so sure about them…
That’s what prompted me to return to education consulting, so I could provide strategic advice on graduate admissions to the top global universities (building on my extensive experience from work in the education abroad consulting and my own experience of pursuing a Master’s).
This is my passion, and now my full-time job, and I’m extremely proud that our clients are getting fantastic results (well, being admitted to their top-priority schools and receiving scholarships).
